What we learned from this project was the difference between biomes, and the different variations on biomes. We learned that every biome is different and that not all areas of one biome have to be the same, since there can be different types and variations of one biome, for example Alpine and Arctic Tundra. Even though biomes have the same climate around the world, the species that live there usually differ depending on the location of the area of biome. Most plants and animals common to biomes have developed adaptions that allow them to live in that climate specifically, like the waxy, waterproof leaves on plants in the Chaparral biome that allow them to survive through the hot and dry summers typical to that biome.
